To start off, here is some current news:
- Melissa d'Arabian won the fifth season competition of The Next Food Network Star. Her new show is a play on Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals, with the title Ten Dollar Dinners. I don't think that is a proper title - it should be Ten Dollar Dishes... er, Meals... no, that sounds like Ray's show... ah, forget it. Don't count Jeffery out, though, because the judges had a hard time deciding, so expect to see him do a travelogue in the future.
- They showed a commercial for "The Next Iron Chef." AGAIN?!? SWTF, FN? I mean, five Iron Chefs is pushing it, but SIX? I only pray that it's a female. Yes, I am a guy. No, I am not looking for fan service!
- Rachael Ray has cookware. It was bound to happen. I would not be surprised if Guy Fieri and Melissa d'Arabian get cookware in 3 years. *sigh*
- Good Eats is celebrating its anniversary by throwing a fan photo/video contest where the winners get free tickets to Atlanta to attend the party. While Georgia isn't too far from my house, I am still going to need to get a ticket for my parents so they can take me there. I don't think I could win a free ticket, though. It's a plan, though.
